Shipping Container Sizes & Specifications

Standard shipping containers are commonly available in 20ft and 40ft lengths. Standard-height containers are approximately 8ft 6in tall, while High Cube containers provide approximately one additional foot of exterior height at 9ft 6in.

For many residential storage projects, a 20ft container provides substantial capacity while requiring less delivery and placement space. A 40ft container offers approximately twice the nominal length and can be better suited to larger commercial, construction or long-term storage requirements.

Used containers retired from international cargo service but inspected to ensure they remain wind and water tight. Cosmetic wear, dents and surface rust should be expected.

CARGO WORTHY – CWO

Used containers that meet the structural requirements for cargo transportation and can be inspected and certified for international shipping when required.
